The Loan Specialist will provide direct to consumer auto finance and refinance options while delivering superior customer service, responding to inquiries and requesting information. The Loan Specialist will also offer additional finance and insurance options. This position requires excellent speaking skills, and the ability to make professional and productive calls throughout the work day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include achieving positive results in the following key areas:

  • Understand and demonstrate the principles of AUTOPAY’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Ensures consistent delivery of AUTOPAY product offerings.
  • Effectively manage and maintain an organized pipeline.
  • Enter all account, contact, opportunity and activity information in LOS daily.
  • Work within our lending partners guidelines.
  • Manage expectations and overcome objections with a consultative sales approach.
  • Develop best practices in auto refinance consumer lending.
  • Notify consumers regarding loan refinance status and approvals to close the sale.
  • Develop skills necessary for promotion into a full, closing role.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Additional duties as required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Education: High school diploma, or equivalent. Associates or bachelor’s degree helpful.
  • Experience: Experience in inside phone sales required. Telemarketing or customer service experience with auto finance companies, car dealerships and investment companies preferred. Experience in marketing, finance and insurance a plus.
  • Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Ability to speak read and write fluent English. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on communication of channel operations. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and objectively coach associates and management through complex issues. Excellent presentation skills.
  • Analytical: Detail-oriented with ability to organize, prioritize and work independently. Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Technical: Proficient with Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel ability.
  • Other: High level of personal motivation, professionalism, and integrity required. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment.
